East Grand Forks had a very successful 125th Anniversary Celebration over the weekend. Huge crowds enjoyed bands, school reunions, parades, games, a military and public safety tribute, a huge fireworks display, and so much more. Mayor Stauss and the celebration committee put together an event that was lauded unanimously by everyone with whom I spoke.
I would like to thank the Grand Forks Convention and Visitors Bureau for keeping everyone updated on their web site and via Facebook and Twitter. They did a fantastic job of keeping the social media buzz active during the busy weekend. Their photos also were superb.
The City has some pictures of the 125th Anniversary on the City’s official Facebook page that contain a few of the events and many fireworks. We welcome photo submissions by to others to build a comprehensive album of of the memorable weekend.
Thanks again to everyone that made this event a wonderful success. Let’s hope that we do not wait another 25 years to relive the magic.
